Unique Student Identifier

All students attending a nationally recognised training course with CSTC needs to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) issued by the Australian Government.

If you don’t have a Unique Student Identifier, you won’t be eligible to receive any Statement of Attainment or Qualification.

You can register for a Unique Student Identifier at www.usi.gov.au.

Course Payments

For courses costing less than $1500, CSTC requires payment in full at the time of booking.

For courses costing more than $1500, CSTC requires payment of $1500 at the time of booking with the balance to be paid at check-in on the first day of the course.

Where the Construction Training Fund (CTF) Subsidy has been applied to enrolments, accounts must be finalised in full at the time of enrolment to confirm a student’s position on a course.

Certificates, Statements of Attainment, Awards, or Qualifications will not be issued until full payment has been received.

Cancelations and Refund Policy

Course fees will be refunded in full to a student or employer if CSTC cancels or discontinues a course.

Course fees will be refunded in full to a student or employer when cancellation of attendance is received no later than 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the course commencement.

If a student or employer does not inform CSTC in writing of a cancellation at least 48 hours (2 business days) before the commencement of a course, a cancellation fee of 50% of the full course cost will apply.

If a student or employer does not inform CSTC in writing of a cancellation at least 24 hours (1 business day) before the commencement of a course or fails to attend on the first day of a course, a cancellation fee of 100% of the full course cost will apply.

All course cancellations or transfers must be sent in writing to training@cstc.com.au.

Any fees refundable to students or employers due to cancellation will be processed and returned within 10 working days.

Course Prerequisites

Students will be informed of any course pre-requisites at the time of booking a course.

Students must provide proof of completion of any course pre-requisites before the commencement of a course or at check-in on the first day of the course.

If a student fails to provide proof of completion of any course pre-requisites, CSTC reserves its right to cancel the student’s enrolment. A cancellation fee will apply.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Students undertaking training and assessment at CSTC must wear clothing and PPE appropriate for the training environment.

Neat casual clothing and enclosed footwear is expected for all classroom-based training.

Standard construction industry PPE including steel-capped boots, high-vis long-sleeved shirts, long pants, hardhats, and eye protection are required for all site-based and practical training.
