to plan, assess, and carry out demolition tasks without putting lives at risk.

CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS Requirements, Policies and Procedures in the Construction
Industry
CSTC requirement:
CSTC also require you to produce your White Card when attending the course as this is an
industry standard and we are conducting assessment in a simulated work environment
What you will learn:
- Identify the key hazards involved in demolition work, from falling debris to structural
instability - Understand the health and safety risks of airborne contaminants, vibration, noise, and
hazardous materials - Nail the requirements of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and site-specific demolition
permits - Read and interpret structural drawings and engineer reports with safety in mind
- Develop and follow SWMS that actually reflect the task at hand
- Implement the Hierarchy of Controls to minimise risk during all stages of demolition
- Use exclusion zones, signage, and safety equipment effectively
- Work as part of a coordinated team, including traffic management and emergency
response planning
Assessment
Open book written questions and practical assessments undertaken in class
Certification:
A Statement of Attainment for CPCCCM2009 Carry out basic demolition will be
issued upon successful completion of the course
